Our Story

How It Started

In 2019, we opened a small coffee shop on a quiet corner in Barons Court. No grand plan for world domination, just a simple goal: make really good coffee, hire lovely people, and create a space where the neighbourhood actually wants to hang out.

Turns out, that was enough.

What We're About

We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we take your coffee very seriously. Every shot pulled with care. Every flat white made with Estate Dairy milk (because life's too short for average milk). Every pastry from Layers Bakery in East London. And those cookies? Baked fresh every morning by our team using Natalie's top-secret recipe. No, we're not sharing it.

Our coffee comes from Plot Roasting, who share our obsession with quality. We also bring in guest roasters to keep things interesting and to keep our baristas excited.

The People

Here's the thing about Carbon Kopi: it only works because of the people. We hire for personality and passion, then train the rest. Our baristas remember your name, your order, and probably asked about your holiday last week.

They're the reason people come back. We just make sure they have great coffee to serve.

The Recognition

We don't like to brag, but since you're here...

Both shops were featured in Eater's best new coffee shops in London during their opening years. More recently, we've been named one of London's top 10 coffee shops and top 40 in the UK, with mentions in Time Out and Secret London.

We're chuffed. But mostly we're just glad people are enjoying what we do.
